This Privacy Policy explains how Plotz LLC ("Plotz," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information about you when you use the Plotz mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of your information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information You Provide Directly

When you create an account or use the Platform, you may provide us with:

Full name
Email address
Phone number
Date of birth (used to verify age eligibility - must be 21+)
Profile photo (optional)
Login credentials (password, stored in encrypted form)

1.2 Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Platform, we automatically collect:

Device information (device type, operating system version, unique device identifiers)
IP address
App usage data (features accessed, deals viewed, groups joined, vouchers claimed and redeemed)
Log data (error reports, timestamps, app crashes)
Push notification token (for sending you deal alerts and group status updates)

1.3 Location Information

With your permission, we collect your precise or approximate geographic location to show you deals at nearby Venues and to enable location-based deal discovery features. You can disable location access at any time through your device settings, though doing so will limit certain features of the Platform. We collect location data only while you are actively using the app (foreground only), not in the background.

1.4 Transaction and Redemption Data

When you redeem a deal, we collect and store:

The deal claimed and voucher issued
The date, time, and Venue of redemption
The bill amount entered by Venue staff at redemption
The number of covers (people in your party) recorded at redemption
No-show records and strike history (for group deals)

1.5 Information From Group Activity

When you participate in Fill the Table group deals, we collect:

Group membership (who created the group and who joined)
Timestamps of when members joined the group
Whether and when the group filled and a voucher was issued
Whether the group redeemed or no-showed

1.6 Communications

If you contact us (e.g., via support email), we may retain records of that correspondence to assist you and improve our services.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To create and manage your Plotz account
To show you relevant deals at nearby Venues based on your location
To generate, issue, and validate vouchers for deal redemption
To facilitate Fill the Table group formation and send group status notifications
To enforce the no-show strike system and account restrictions
To send you push notifications about deal availability, group activity, and platform updates
To calculate and collect our 5% take rate from Venues on Plotz-driven transactions
To invoice Venues for platform fees using aggregated redemption data
To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms and Conditions
To analyze usage patterns and improve the Platform's features and performance
To comply with applicable legal obligations

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:

3.1 With Venues

When you redeem a deal at a Venue, the Venue receives the information necessary to process your redemption, including your voucher code, the deal details, your group size, and the bill amount you presented. Venues do not receive your email address, phone number, or full name unless you choose to provide it directly.

3.2 With Service Providers

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Platform, including:

Cloud hosting and database providers (for data storage and infrastructure)
Push notification services (e.g., Apple Push Notification Service) to deliver deal alerts and group updates
Analytics providers to help us understand how the Platform is used (data is shared in aggregated or anonymized form where possible)
Payment processors and billing platforms for future subscription and fee collection features
Toast (point-of-sale integration) in V1.5 of the Platform for automated redemption verification

All service providers are contractually required to use your information only to perform services on our behalf and in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

3.3 For Legal Compliance and Safety

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plotz, our users, or the public.

3.4 Business Transfers

If Plotz is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or a prominent notice on the Platform before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

3.5 With Your Consent

We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Platform's services. Specifically:

Account data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 3 years after account closure for legal and business record-keeping purposes.
Transaction and redemption data is retained for up to 7 years for financial record-keeping and tax compliance purposes.
No-show and strike records are retained for the duration of your account.
Location data collected during active app sessions is not stored beyond what is necessary to display relevant deals in real time.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 7). Certain data may be retained after deletion where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention.

5. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:

Encryption of data in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
Hashed and salted storage of passwords - we never store passwords in plain text
Access controls limiting data access to authorized personnel only
Unique, single-use voucher codes to prevent fraudulent redemptions

Despite these measures, no security system is impenetrable. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

6. Push Notifications

We send push notifications to your device to inform you about:

New deals available near your location (with your opt-in consent)
Group activity updates (friends joining your group, your group filling)
Voucher issuance and redemption reminders
No-show strikes and account status updates

You may opt out of promotional push notifications (such as new deal alerts) at any time through your device settings or the app's notification preferences. Transactional notifications (such as group fills and voucher confirmations) are required for the Platform to function and cannot be fully disabled without disabling app notifications entirely.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

7.1 Access and Portability

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you by contacting us at info@promoplotz.com. We will respond within 30 days.

7.2 Correction

You may update or correct inaccurate information in your account at any time through the app's account settings, or by contacting us.

7.3 Deletion

You may request deletion of your Plotz account and associated personal data by contacting info@promoplotz.com. We will process your request within 30 days, subject to data that must be retained for legal or financial compliance purposes.

7.4 Location Data

You may disable location access for the Plotz app at any time through your device's privacy settings. Note that doing so will limit location-based deal discovery features.

7.5 California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (a) know what personal information is being collected about you; (b) know whether your personal information is sold or disclosed and to whom; (c) opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell personal information); (d) request deletion of your personal information; and (e) not be discriminated against for exercising your privacy rights. 8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 21. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 21. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a minor, please contact us at info@promoplotz.com.

9. Third-Party Links and Services

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services (such as Toast for point-of-sale). This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use in connection with the Platform.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you via push notification, email, or a prominent notice within the app prior to the change becoming effective. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy indicates when it was most recently revised. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
